New PMSOL List - New Priority Migration Skilled Occupations List

A new occupations list called the Priority Migration Skilled Occupations List (PMSOL) has been introduced from 2 September 2020.

What Will The New PMSOL List Affect?

Visas affected by the new PMSOL include:

  • Temporary Skill Shortage (Temporary) (Subclass 482)
  • Skilled Regional Employer Sponsored (Provisional) (Subclass 494)
  • Employer Nomination Scheme (Permanent) (Subclass 186)
  • Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Permanent) (Subclass 187) (closed to new applications)

Occupations listed on the PMSOL will receive priority processing with Home Affairs, and will be eligible for arrival travel exemption where the applicant is overseas at visa approval.

Occupations currently listed on the PMSOL include medical, IT and construction occupations as follows:
